I am at a point in my life where I know I need to lose a substantial amount of weight. I am 57 years old and weigh 358 pounds. I am still in good heath however I know I am starting to “push the envelope” and need to do something.
When I first started talking to the Weight Loss Surgical Center I weighed 381. This weight is based on a visit to my primary care physician and his scale. My doctor said I needed to check out the adjustable gastric band procedure if I wanted to live a quality life.
I am going to have adjustable gastric band surgery at the Weight Loss Surgical Center in Overland Park, Kansas, in early to mid- February, 2010.
I have researched different options on bariatric surgery and have chosen the Realize adjustable gastric band. I really like the short recovery time and the ability to do it with only a few small incisions.
This blog is a log of the journey I am about to make. I am putting this blog on the net as my way of channeling my emotions.
You are welcome to follow me. If you have any questions about the procedures, as I lose my weight, please feel free to contact me.
Kindest regards,
Wayne Rouse
